When it comes to guns, nothing beats fashion. You get a real sense of accomplishment when you finish building your first firearm, and that's something you don't get just by buying a new gun. On top of that, you have the added benefit of knowing your weapon inside and out, because everything in the weapon is placed there and is personally chosen by you.

That said, there are many complications that come with building a weapon. The first thing you need to know before you start building a Polymer80 weapon is that you need to come to the table with patience. Failure to do so, or running home from happiness can cause serious problems with your new build that will cost you hundreds of dollars in replacement parts. Ask us how we know. With all that in mind, let's get into the tools you need to start building your P80 Glock.
Fortunately, when you buy your P80, most of the things you need come with the frame. Included in the box is the P80 frame, both the drill bits you need to drill your pin holes, as well as a large drill bit to clear your frame, and the jig you'll need to make the pieces fit properly. those. first test.
Even with all that, some small tools will be needed. If you've ever made crafts, chances are you already have these tools on hand. Now that you've gone through the process of building your own personal Glock, we'll introduce you to the program. It's hard to tell from this perspective what was used to build your P80 chassis, as it could really have used any number of aftermarket parts. If you plan to use Glock OEM parts, however, you now have a standard Glock weapon with a few bonus upgrades.
The Polymer80 frame has an aggressive cut and closed pattern compared to an OEM Glock frame. This ensures that the system is more comfortable in your hand, and it is easy to maintain a firm grip. Depending on how you remove the last 20% of the ammo to get your 80% to 100% Glock frame, this thing should be smooth as butter. That said, there will be some downtime for the weapon.
We do not recommend using your Polymer80 Glock as an EDC weapon until you have fed approximately 1,000 rounds of ammunition through the weapon. Once you have thoroughly cleaned the weapon, and are personally confident in its ability to be a reliable gun under the force, then, and only then, should you replace your current EDC with this weapon.
Before even getting out to the range, we ran into a few problems with the gun. Let me be clear about something though, the problem we encountered was the result of the U.S.E.R. error, and not the fault of the Polymer80 system. I had failed to position the polymer block correctly for the guide bar, and as a result, the spring was caught. This is a fairly easy fix, and only costs a few minutes of extra hardware on the frame.

Once the problem was fixed, however, this thing worked exactly as you'd expect a Glock to work. We had a few misfires through the first hundred rounds, but as the gun continued to roll and break those failures to feed went away quickly. All that said, there's not much you can say about the Glock platform that hasn't already been said two thousand times.
Make sure you give your P80 system plenty of time to break in before you start moving all day. Once the weapon is broken-in and you are confident in the ability to roll round though, and you are good to go.
Remember above when we said that one of the best things you can bring to Polymer80 is patience? We're not kidding. There are thousands of common problems that can occur when making one of these products, and chances are that your problem may be unique when compared to that of another.

Check your P80 for frame sag before ordering, this can be caused by choosing the frame after cerakoting, out of spec locking blocks, or drilling holes slightly out of place. If your slide front is more than .05 from the frame do not use the Stand Off Comp.

The recoilers work by directing the exhaust gas upwards and to the sides, this means that the recoil force is felt less by the shooter and the muzzle flip is less. Because there is less recoil force with a shock absorber, you may need to use a lighter recoil spring for your gun to rotate correctly. In most cases the compound stop will roll with the stock spring even with low capacity 115gr target ammo, but slide/optic/barrel combinations may require you to reduce your recoil spring weight. If you have FTE or FTF after connecting a transformer, this usually means you need a lower lbs reset spring.
